Kiddies meet – 16.12.22

A child acquires perseverance, patience and probity through sports. To coax these morale and kindle the spirit of sportsmanship among the budding stars, Kavi Bharathi Vidyalaya ventured in celebrating the “31st – Kiddies Sports Meet” on 16th December, 2022 at Rajarathinam Stadium The, kiddies meet provided an ideal opportunity for the children to demonstrate their prowess in various sporting disciplines. The students came  bedecked in colourful shimmering attire. The sporting extravaganza commenced with a march past by the students of class 1, 2 and KG. The Chief Guest, Mr. Vinoth Kumar, Board Member and the Principal came to the VIP enclosure to receive the God of honour. The Chief Guest, Mr. Vinothkumar, declared the Sports Meet open by releasing the balloons. This was followed by a spectacular drill which the students put up for the entertainment. The brave kindergarten warlords panoplied with the sword and shield to exhibit the technique used in combat training. Next the Chloris and Floras of classes 1 and 2, plantigrade with their tussie-mussie to the planet earth to regale the spectators gathered in Rajarathinam stadium. Further the budding sports stars participated in their respective races with full verge and vigor. It was a delight to see the excitement with which children challenged themselves to compete variety of races such as relay, fun games and running race. To felicitate the excellence of winners, the Chief Guest, Board Members and the Principal veneered the winners chests with medals. The Sports Day helped children to explore their hidden talents. It was a fun filled day for everyone.

Annual Sports Meet  – 17.12.22

Our school, Kavi Bharathi Vidyalaya, celebrated the Annual Sports Meet at the Rajaratnam Stadium on 17th December 2022. The chief guest, Dr. Gayathri .G M.B.A.,Ph.D,Indian National Indoor Record Holder – 60mts hurdles, was paraded to the stage by Principal Vijayalakshmi Raja, the Board members, and the student council. When the clock struck 2 o’clock sharp, the inauguration set off with the prayer song. The chief guest initiated the sports torch to the hands of the SPL. Ashwin. It met the hands of the students who excelled in sports throughout the year and finally, sheltered in the hands of the student Kailesh of Class X, who exhibited his ravenous skills in the North Clusters. When the flame came alive, the chief guest declared the sports meet open. As a part of the ceremonial occasion, the four houses marched past the guest and then dexterous drills were performed by classes III-VIII. Classes IX-XI displayed panoramic pyramid formations involving around 175 students. The spectators enjoyed an elaborate visual treat of track events, relay races, and group events. In the speech, the chief guest, Dr. Gayathri, lauded the enthusiastic participants and encouraged the parents to permit their children in sports since it ameliorates the all-round personality of an individual. The medals and trophies bedecked the winners. The Brown House won the overall Championship of the academic year 2022-2023. With a thanking note from a parent of Nithil Shaji of Class X, the day heaved a sigh of satisfaction and accomplishment.
