FIELD TRIP - CLASS IV - CROCODILE BANK

Our school organised a Field trip for the children of grade IV to Crocodile Bank  which is located in East Coast Road at Vadanemmeli , Mahabalipuram, on 18th August. Around 84 students accompanied by 5 teachers visited the park. We had an awesome experience at the Crocodile Bank. There was a huge collection of crocodiles and it houses some endangered Indian species of crocodiles like the marsh or mugger crocodile, the saltwater crocodile, and the gharial. They have been maintained so well. There was a short demonstration of turtles and baby python along with some detailed information about feeding and maintenance. Overall, that’s the only place where we have seen such a large variety of crocodiles in the city. They were kept in open pools that are made to resemble their natural habitats. This Crocodile Conservation Center is the most popular site to visit at Crocodile Bank. A snake farm is also located at this site.
On the whole, the Crocodile Bank is a notable place to spend a day of learning, witnessing rare wilderness and having fun at the same time.
