Pongal celebration-2024

Kavi Bharathi Vidyalaya celebrated Pongal on January 12, 2024 which was graced by the board members. The alluring geometrical designs of kolam which symbolises auspiciousness and good luck welcomed everyone. The luscious “Chakkara Pongal” was cooked in a traditionally decorated pot by our staff and distributed to the Students, Teachers and Support Staff. Students were dressed in colourful ethnic wear and performed songs and dances. Students gave spontaneous answers to the Tamil quiz “ Kangalal paru, Thirukuralai kuru” The entire school wore a festive look and positive spirit.The traditional Vaadi Vasal and Uriyadi game enriched the celebration. Thus Pongal is a celebration to thank the Sun,Mother Nature,farmers and farm animals that contributes to a bountiful harvest.
