Class I and II Field Trip – Chennai Rail museum

    Our school organised a field trip for the children classes I and II to Chennai Rail museum in New Avadi Road,Chennai on 14th March.150 kids accompanied by 7 teachers visited the museum.The main objective of the trip was to know the fabulous collection of India’s Rail Heritage,outdoor gallery,rare exhibits,Royal collection, antique steam engine which was once operated in the Nilgiri mountains etc.
    Kids enjoyed the Toy train ride.We visited the air-conditioned gallery where kids got enthrilled with 3-tier running rail model which has automatic signalling system.Students evinced keen interest in its working,watching the signals and automatic railway gate opening and closing.Children relished the exclusive playparks with merry-go-rounds,sliding boards,swings etc.The trip ended at 2:00 pm.It was very beneficial to kids.On the whole,Chennai Rail Museum is the best place for kids to know about our Indian Railways,old loco models etc.It was a truly informative and entertaining trip for kids.It is an essential visit for school children.
