Black Urad Dhal Activity
Our students from Pre-KG to Grade 2 were encouraged to bring traditional, healthy, homemade snacks prepared from black urad gram—one of the most powerful pulses gifted by nature.Children showcased a variety of delicious dishes such as Urad Laddu, Sweet & Spicy Paniyaram, Urad Payasam, Kali, Adai, Vadai, Urad Jaggery Dosa, Idli, and more. Each dish reflected the richness and health benefits of this traditional superfood.Teachers explained the nutritional value of black urad to the students. Urad is rich in protein, which helps children grow strong with healthy bones and muscles. It also contains iron, which provides energy and keeps the body active throughout the day.
For growing children, black urad gram is like a secret power food that builds strength, knowledge, and self-confidence. This initiative also taught students that even small grains can bring great power and positive change.The event motivated students to always choose healthy, home-cooked traditional snacks over processed alternatives.
