BITTER GOURD ACTIVITY
Students from Pre-KG to grade 2 brought many different healthy bitter gourd dishes for snacks! These unique veggies were prepared in various ways to make them delicious, sometimes with a touch of salt, a little jaggery, or other ingredients to balance their special taste. The school cares a lot about students having a healthy, nutritious diet, focusing on healthy & natural snacks every day. Choosing bitter gourd is an amazing, healthy reason to be brave and try new foods! Our Headmistress Mam motivated about the amazing benefits of eating nutritious food through action songs related to this special vegetable and by also giving the children stars on their face. This motivated other children to try eating the bitter gourd.
Bitter gourd is packed with vitamins and minerals. It has a good immune system. It also helps in fighting with germs in our body. Some children found it difficult to eat it, but still with a lot of motivation many children tried. Even though children didn’t like eating the bitter gourd they were happy to sing and hear the benefits of the bitter gourd.
