Independence Day

Kavi Bharathi Vidyalaya commemorated the 79th Independence Day of our nation with immense pride and patriotic fervour on 15th August. The campus was adorned with tricolour buntings, floral arrangements, and vibrant posters meticulously crafted by the students.

The morning commenced with the flag-hoisting ceremony led by the Chief Guest, Mr. D. Jayabal, grandparent of one of our students. By inviting a grandparent as the Chief Guest, the school paid tribute to the wisdom, values, and life experiences that elders pass on to the younger generations. This was followed by the rendition of the National Anthem, sung in unison, which reverberated across the campus with patriotic zeal.
Students delivered eloquent orations on the significance of freedom and offered heartfelt homage to the valiant sacrifices of our freedom fighters. A captivating cultural programme comprising patriotic songs, dances  and evocative skits vividly portrayed the essence of unity in diversity.
The Chief Guest, in his address, exhorted the students to revere the nation’s heritage, cultivate discipline in their daily lives, and evolve into responsible citizens contributing meaningfully to the country’s progress. He further reminded the gathering that freedom should never be taken for granted but safeguarded with integrity and accountability.
The celebrations culminated with a vote of thanks and the distribution of sweets. The entire programme imbued everyone with profound national pride, underscoring that freedom is both a priceless legacy and a solemn responsibility.
