PUMPKIN ACTIVITY

Pumpkin is an excellent source of Vitamin A (amazing for your eyes and helping you see clearly!) and Vitamin C (great for helping your body heal and keeping your skin healthy). It also has Potassium, Fiber (which helps your tummy feel good), Folate, Magnesium, and Iron. Eating pumpkin can help boost your immune system to fight off germs, support healthy digestion, keep your skin glowing, and even help your heart stay strong! Every bite of pumpkin is like a mini boost for your body’s strength and health.
Students from Pre-K to Level 2 brought many different healthy pumpkin dishes for snacks! These wonderful orange vegetables were prepared in various ways to make them delicious – roasted with a sprinkle of cinnamon, made into creamy soups, baked into muffins with natural sweeteners, or even turned into crispy pumpkin chips. The school cares a lot about students having a healthy, nutritious diet, focusing on healthy & natural snacks every day. Choosing pumpkin is an amazing, healthy way to enjoy seasonal eating and try colorful foods! Kids are also motivated about the amazing benefits of eating nutritious food through action songs related to this special orange vegetable.
Pumpkin is actually a fruit (yes, it’s a fruit, not just a vegetable!) that’s like a superhero in your food! It’s packed with vitamins and minerals, and its bright orange color comes from beta-carotene, which is super good for you
