Dear parents,
Your child is a 21st Century learner, in which he or she is witnessing every day technological changes. Today, the
camera and film rolls which you had used are no more. Tomorrow, all petrol bunk s will be closed, since all
vehicles will become electric. What career options or jobs will be there for your child to choose and what gadgets
will he or she be using; no one can predict. Yet, we still teach and assess them based on the English Education
Act 1835, developed by Lord Macaulay.
English education system only created good clerks. It has made every Indian to think that English, is better than
their own language and culture. Now, we are Indian s by blood and colour, but English in taste. As a result, we
have lost our self-esteem and all the youths first aspire to get into government or other lucrative jobs only. To
filter the applications, the marks of board exam were considered. Even NEET exam filters 5 lakh applicants
69,000
for
medical seats by conducting eligibility tests. Can it guarantee that all will become good doctors?
There are too many assessments in schools, which only develops the memorizing capacity of students. teacher can guarantee that a child who scores 100% in mathematics, will again score 100% if the same question
paper is given after ten days. This is because,studentslearn only for exams and not for life. Exams do not test the interest, ability, critical thinking and decision-making skills of a child which are needed for a
successful life.
At Kavi Bharathi Vidyalaya, we not only develop “Job seekers” but also develop “Job providers”. We don’t
focus on students scoring high marks, but we only focus on the holisƟc development of every child. Making
every child speak fluently in English is not our goal. Speaking fluently in a language is not a knowledge, it is only
a skill. A child who speaks fluently in his or her mother tongue will develop interest to speak fluently in other
languages too.
Speak in your language at home; teach your culture, customs and values. This will bring out the hidden talents
and skills of your child, which will make your child enjoy schooling. We will provide a strong knowledge-based
education and guarantee that your child will become a successful person in real life and still be loving, his or her
parents, mother tongue and the nation at heart.

அன்பான பெற்றோரே!
உங்கள் குழந்தை 21ஆம் நூற்றாண்டில் கற்பவர். தினம் தினம் புதிய புதிய கண்டூபிடிப்புகளைக்
காண்பவர். நேற்று நீங்கள் உபயோகித்து வியந்த புகைப்படக் கருவிகள் இன்று இல்லை. நாளை
பெட்ரோல் பங்குகள் இருக்கப்போவதில்லை, ஏனெனில் அனைத்தும் மின்சார வாகனங்கள். இவர்
வளரும்போது எந்தத் தொழில், எந்த வேலை, எந்தச் சாதனங்கள் இருக்கப்போகிறது என்று
யாராலும் கணிக்க முடியாது. ஆனாலும், இன்றுவரை சீமான் மெக்காலே உருவாக்கிய ஆங்கிலக்
கல்விச் சட்டம் 1935 இல் எழுதப்பட்ட வழிமுறைபடிதான் இன்றும் சொல்லித்தருகிறோம்,
தேர்வுகளை நடத்துகிறோம்.
ஆங்கிலக் கல்வி முறையும் தேர்வு முறையும் இந்தியர்களை ஒரு நல்ல குமாஸ்தாவாக மட்டூமே
உருவாக்கியது. அதுமட்டுமல்ல, ஆங்கிலமே தங்களது எதிர்காலம், நமது தாய்மொழி மற்றும்
கலாச்சாரத்தைவிட அது மிகச் சிறந்தது என்ற எண்ணத்தை மிக ஆழமாகப் பதித்துவிட்டது.
இன்று நாம் நிறத்தாலும் இரத்தத்தாலும் மட்டுமே இந்தியர்கள், ஆனால், நம்மை ஆளுவது
ஆங்கிலமே. இதன் விளைவால் நமது சுயமரியாதையை இழந்தோம், நமது இளைஞர்கள்
எல்லோரும் அரசுவேலை அல்லது அதிக சம்பளம் கொடுக்கும் வேலையை மட்டூமே
நாடூபவர்களாக உருவாக்கிவிட்டோம். போட்டிகள் மிக அதிகமாக இருந்ததால், இறுதி தேர்வு
மதிப்பெண்களே முக்கியமாகக் கருதப்பட்டது. இன்று 5 லட்சம் ‘நீட்’ விண்ணப்பங்களிலிந்து 89,000
மாணவர்களை மட்டூம் தேர்வு செய்வதும் அதே தேர்வுமுறைதான். தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்ட
அனைவரும் சிறந்த மருத்தவராக ஆவார்கள் என்று உறுதியாகச் சொல்லமுடியுமா?
பள்ளிகளில் தேவைக்கும் அதிகமான தேர்வுகள் நடத்தப்படுகின்றன. அவை மாணவர்களின்
நினைவாற்றலை மட்டூமே மேம்படுத்திடும், அறிவையல்ல. கணிதத்தில் 100% மதிப்பெண் பெறும்
ஒரு மாணவருக்கு, பத்து நாட்களுக்குப்பின் அதே தேர்வுத்தாளைக் கொடூத்து எழுதச்சொன்னால்
மீண்டும் 100% மதிப்பெண் பெறுவார் என்று எந்த ஆசிரியரும் உறுதி சொல்வதில்லை. ஏன்,
மனப்பாடக் கல்விமுறை. மாணவரிடமுள்ள பிற ஆற்றல்களை மதிப்பெண்கள் கூறுவதில்லை.
மேலும் வாழ்க்கைக்குத் தேவையான சிந்தனைத் திறன் மற்றும் முடிவெடுக்கும் திறனைத்
தேர்வுகள் சோதிப்பதில்லை.
கவிபாரதி பள்ளி வேலைவாயப்பினை மட்டூமே விரும்பும் இளைஞர்களை உருவாக்குவதில்லை,
வேலைதனை உருவாக்குபவர்களையும் உருவாக்கும் நோக்கமாகக் கொண்டுள்ளது. மாணவர்கள்
அதிக மதிப்பெண் பெறவேண்டூம் என்றில்லாமல், அவர்களின் முழுமையான வளர்ச்சியைத்தான்
வளர்க்க முற்படும். ஓவ்வொரு மாணவனும் சரளமாக ஆங்கிலத்தில் உரையாட வேண்டும் என்பது
நோக்கமல்ல. ஏனெனில் அது ஒரு திறமையே தவிர, அறிவு வளர்ச்சி அல்ல. தனது தாய்
மொழியில் சரளமாக பேசக்கூடிய மாணவரால் எந்த மொழியிலும் சரளமாக உரையாற்றும்
ஆற்றலைப் பெற முடியும்.
வீட்டில் உங்கள் குழந்தையுடன் தாய்மொழியில் பேசுங்கள், உங்களது கலாச்சாரத்தையும்,
குடும்பத்தின் பாரம்பரியத்தையும் சொல்லித்தாருங்கள். இதனால், உங்கள் குழந்தையிடம்
ஒளிந்துள்ள தனித்திறன் வெளிப்படும். அத்திறனை மேம்படுத்தி, உறுதியான அறிவினை வளர்த்து,
ஒரு மிகச் சிறந்த வெற்றியாளராகவும், பெற்றோர், தாய்மொழி, தேசம் அனைத்தையும்
நேசிப்பவராக உருவாக்குவோம் என்று நாங்கள் உறுதி கூறுகிறோம்.
