World Coconut Day
World Coconut Day was celebrated on 2nd September 2025 with great joy by the little ones from Pre-KG to Grade 2. The children brought tasty coconut snacks to share with their friends. They made colourful charts and drawings showing the different uses of the coconut tree. The children learnt that coconut is called the “Kalpavriksha” or the “Tree of Life” because every part of it is useful. Tender coconut water makes us healthy and strong, the white kernel gives us energy and is used in cooking, the leaves are used for decoration and rooftops, and even the shell and husk are valuable. They also learnt that World Coconut Day is celebrated every year on September 2nd to remind us of the importance of this wonderful tree. Through fun activities, the children understood the value of nature and together they happily said, “Plant trees, save nature”
