Kavi Bharathi Vidyalaya celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with patriotic fervor on August 15, 2026, beginning at 8:00 a.m. The event commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by Chief Guest Mr. K.C. Suresh Kumar, followed by the National Anthem, National Pledge, and Flag Song. Head Girl Laksha welcomed the gathering and paid tribute to the nation’s freedom fighters.
Students across all levels showcased their talents through various performances. The celebration featured a vibrant ramp walk by Kindergarten to Grade 2 students, an English speech by a Grade 7 pupil, and a melodious Hindi song by Grades 3 to 5. Students from Grades 9 to 12 staged an impactful English drama depicting the freedom struggle and Satyagraha, while Grade 5 girls delivered a Tamil speech and Grades 6 to 8 performed an energetic dance.
In his address, the Chief Guest urged students to recognize their responsibilities as citizens, after which the school presented him with a memento. Awards followed, with Cubs and Bulbuls receiving Chathurtha Charan Appreciation Certificates. Additionally, School Treasurer Mr. Suresh Karthikeyan presented cash prizes to the student winners of the “Tamizhodu Vilaiyaadu” programme and their mentors. Head Boy Dushyanth concluded the formal proceedings with a heartfelt vote of thanks. The memorable event ended joyfully with the distribution of sweets, leaving everyone filled with national pride and unity.
